All written by John Cleese and Connie Both. When I first read the scripts for FAWLTY TOWERS it was one of those rare occasions when I laughed continuously and with mounting delight. Its anarchic and totally individual flavour was and is unique. Certainly they were a joy to direct and produce, and gave everybody concerned with the production enormous satisfaction, but, probably more to the point, we never stopped laughing from the beginning until the final fade down. Now, to hear them again brings the programs alive in a miraculous way. Everyone who worked on the shows gained enermous pleasure and satisfaction and I am sure the record will be just as enjoyable.
